On April 13, 2009…it was my pleasure to capture the 9 month images of Harper, the son of Hope and Brian Krebs of Hartford, WI. Harper is a member of our First Year Baby Program where we photograph each member baby at 3 month intervals. Harper also is appearing in our April E-Letter as a model along with one of our articles! I can’t believe how much Jonathan has changed over the last year. We started photographing Jonathan when he was 3 months old. Jonathan’s parents, Michele and Henry are about ready to give Jonathan a little sister and Julie, my assistant and I had the opportunity today to create some beautiful Maternity Poses along with Jonathan’s 2 Year Portrait Session. On February 17, 2009, I was given the honor and privilege of photographing a “little angel” named Alejandra on her way to heaven and preserve the memories of her existence for her family. I ask that you place Alejandra and her parents Natalia and Dustin in your prayers and help them through this difficult time in their lives. This is a volunteer service that I offer through the non-profit organization known as NILMDTS.

Pictured below, is the newest member to the Burch family. This beautiful little girl was born virtually minutes (less than 2 hours actually) before I created the images. I could not resist adding two images to the blog because I love “little hand” poses and then there was the one with daddy’s hand by her face. This is Julie, my Creative Assistants, new addition to her family. Julie and Brian Burch of Milwaukee, WI are proud to introduce their new daughter to you. Please leave a comment for them to enjoy!

(Following is a testimonial that I received via the e-mail from some very special people that will always share a special place in my heart. I wanted to share their thoughts and feelings with you).

“It has been three months since the birth and passing of our Linkin Paul Fisher. If you have read the story of “The Littlest Soldier” then you know our whole story and if not I would encourage you to do so. It all started on June 9th 2008 when we received the news about our son (Linkin Paul) who would die at birth. The hospital informed us about an organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. When we got home my wife called and they put us in contact with our photographer (Les Wallack). Until Linkin was born we were in contact with Les and he was always positive about everything. From talking to Les on the phone, I knew Les was a man with a big heart. He received the phone call from my wife at around 4:30AM on October 4th. The man that he is, Les came as soon as he could, having just completed his other 12 hour shift job. When he arrived at the hospital he certainly was a man of compassion. This was the first time we had met. He wanted to know what we wanted and I told him to just do your best. I can not tell you enough…THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!!”

“Les went above and beyond anything me or my wife could ever have expected. The whole time in the waiting room, delivery room, our room, into the NICU I hardly noticed that he was there. Les was great and he gave us our time with our Linkin. Linkin lived longer than anyone expected and the photographers for NILMDTS only stay for a short while. Les was more than gracious with his time, it was all about us. Even though he had just worked a 12 hour shift…Les stayed for about 6 and a half hours taking pictures of everything and everyone. Les captured more images than I could ask for. When he left, I thought great - he took well over 200 images. When Linkin passed two days later, someone called Les and told him the news. Les came back to the hospital and created more images of us with Linkin for 3 more hours! The CD’s he made of Linkin along with the website and the Letter From Linkin was far more than anything we ever asked or expected from Les. Honestly, being a religious family we believe that Les was sent to us by God. We could never have asked for a better photographer than him. He put his whole heart into what he was doing. I can honestly say from that day on Les has become not only a part of Linkin’s story but he has become a part of our family. I tried to put into words what kind of man Les is and the work he does but I feel I have not done him justice. THANK YOU LES FOR EVERYTHING AND GOD BLESS!!!!”

Our first “el natural” of the new year! Posing so bravely - with little modesty what-so-ever is Harper Krebs, son of Hope and Brian Krebs of Hartford, WI. Thinking it was bath time at his 6 month session (First Year Baby Program)…Special thanks to his parents Hope & Brian for his participation. Be watching for more of Harper in months to come!

So ends another year of baby portraits. In his final session of the “First Year Baby Plan”, Colton Mantz, son of Sarah and Josh Mantz of Hartford, WI poses with his dad Josh. It’s not just the baby…we include poses of Mother & Child, Father & Child and sometimes even a Family Session!

We have found that most all of the children that we photograph love having some images created in their own rooms. This is Nathan Miller’s last session of of our “First Year Baby Program”. He loved showing off his “turf”. We are planning on doing a family session on Lake Michigan this summer so you’ll be seeing more of Nathan then!

We initially captured beautiful images of Harper immediately following his birth (at the hospital, see 7-11-08) while only minutes old so now it’s time to do his 3 Month Session as part of the Complete “First Year Baby Plan” that he is enrolled in.I could not resist this breath-taking window light pose of this so-perfect new born. There will be much more of Harper so be checking back often.

In a quiet moment between poses, Lynze was sitting near a window and we were just talking. After I had completed a camera adjustment and happened to look up I noticed this fantastic look and was able to capture it for Lynze. This is what portraiture is all about!

Lynze acquired Clover, a Great Dane when she was just a puppy. As long as I was set up for photographing we tried a few poses with Lynze and Clover together. This was the winning pose. Sadly enough, Clover left our world three days following the session after she was struck by a car.

Another beautiful day in West Bend as I completed a beautiful Mother and Daughter pose outdoors of Kathy and Lynze Zvara. This image begins a 3-part session as you’ll see over the next two blog entries. Lynze recently moved back home from Minnesota where she was attending school for Cosmetology. The Mother-Daughter similarities are many!!

The day was beautiful, 10/13/08 and we were photographing Nathan Miller, son of Becky and Jason Miller of West Bend, WI. It is always so beautiful and colorful in West Bend in the fall. This was Nathans 9 Month Session, with one more remaining in his “First Year Baby Program”. Pumpkins, hay bails and Nathan!

Yesterday I was called to Community Memorial Hospital to capture the true essence of life - little Harper Krebs, my brand new nephew! In this image, he is not yet a full day old… I was very pleased that the nursing staff allowed me to bring in my studio lighting for this photo. “Welcome to the world little “Harper” from your Uncle Les and Aunt Susie!”

This is one of many images that were captured in a recent session at the home of Nathan Miller - one of our 1st Year Baby Plan Members. He recently turned 6 months and this marks the half-way point in the program. The session went well but he has acquired a knack for sticking his tongue out and he is quick about it. Comments please.

Three years ago, Summer Schuster, pictured with this post, was the very last baby I photographed in my last studio - Wallack Photography in 2005. Recently, I’ve been honored to again have Summer before my camera. All of my portraiture is created strictly on location now.

I guess “Passion” for portrait creation can be defined by the fact that you are always excited over that perfect smile from a 3 month baby! This post includes an image of Piper Schuster from her recent 3 month session. Is she not beautiful?!

It is always amazing to me as I photograph any one of my child subjects - how different they can be as individuals as you change the style of the portrait session. These two perfect subjects that I have been photographing since infant stage are almost like family to me already. Jessica and Brayden Mueller in both casual and “dressy” personalities! In a recent session we were able to capture this image of Leo Billante during one of his Creative Cooking Classes provided by Chef “Pa Pa". Your comments are very welcome on the photogenic attributes of this 9 month old pasta maker!!

This was truly a fun session with Joey, Cassandra, Olivia and Anthony, It
was very different and will help to preserve some very special memories not
only for the kids but for mom and dad as well. I’ve been working with
Anthony and Olivia since their birth and feel just like part of their

WELCOME JONATHAN!!
